Michael Joseph Corrigan

Born on January 12, 1944, Michael honorably served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy. Following his service, he dedicated his life to being a steadfast provider for his family and a devoted pillar of his community. For many years, he was a long-lasting and faithful member of the Old Cutler Presbyterian Church in Miami, where he found great fellowship and strength.

Michael loved the camaraderie and competition of bowling and playing pool, and he enjoyed going camping. Above all else, Michael’s true passion was his family. He was an exceptional grandfather, known for his unconditional love, guidance, and the wonderful memories made during family beach trips and the special attention he paid to the younger generations growing up around him.

Michael is survived by his loving children: Karen (Chad) Hogg, John Crews, Wendy Sostre, Michael (Allison) Corrigan, and Victoria (James) Love. He was the incredibly proud grandfather of Anthony, Juliana, Jasmine (Ben), Logan, Pedro, Sarah, Bailey, James, Ansley, Ethan, Ryan, Kinley, and Elizabeth, and the cherished great-grandfather of Dylan and Liam. He is also survived by his beloved brother, Les Corrigan. He was preceded in death by his loved ones who went before him.

Michael’s legacy as a hard worker, a true patriot, and a wonderful grandfather will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Michael's memory to Homes For Our Troops, a top-rated veterans charity dedicated to building homes and rebuilding lives for severely injured post-9/11 veterans.
