

Max was born on June 13, 1941 to Curt E and Pansy B Farrow in Leavenworth, Kansas. Max is survived by his devoted wife, Lourdes (Lou) Farrow, his children Teresa McGaughey (Robert McGaughey), Stephen Farrow (Kelly Farrow), Andrew Farrow (Joela Farrow), Debra Farrow, Ida Leinbach, and Jennifer Rogers (Brett Rogers); his grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Paulus, and her husband Tom Paulus.
He grew up in Leavenworth, where he developed a lifelong love of trains and a curiosity about how things work – interests that would shape both his personal passions and professional path. He went on to earn a degree in electrical engineering from Kansas State University, Master of Science Electrical Engineering from The Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, and an MBA from Harvard University Graduate School of Business, launching a successful career in engineering.
Max spent much of his career with Martin Marietta, Lockheed Aerospace, and held leadership roles across several companies, where he was known for heading engineering departments, guiding teams, mentoring the new generation of engineering with both expertise and integrity. He was respected not only for his technical knowledge, but also for his strong work ethic and steady leadership.
Max had a deep love for spending time with his family. Whether traveling, playing games, or simply enjoying time together, he created lasting memories with those he loved most. He was known for being funny, ambitious, and hardworking – qualities that endeared him to family, friends, and colleagues alike. He was active in his church and lived his life with a strong sense of faith and community.
Max’s life is a testament to dedication – to his family, his work, and the things he loved. He will be deeply cherished and remembered by all who know him.
