Born on January 6, 1948, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Margaret lived a life filled with love, kindness, and deep devotion to her family and friends. She was a proud mother to Jennifer (Alan), Patrick (Stella) and Erin (Andy). Her greatest joy came as a Nana to her grandchildren—Jack, Sam, Luke, Ella, James, and George—whom she cherished dearly. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jim.
Margaret had a warm and welcoming spirit that made her a friend to everyone she encountered. She loved playing cards, reading books, and organizing ladies' luncheons for her many friends. She enjoyed traveling, which gave her the opportunity to explore new places and create lasting memories with those she loved. Above all, her greatest passion was her deep love and compassion for dogs. This was most evident in her tireless dedication to volunteering with dog rescues, particularly in rehoming senior dogs—a cause that was especially close to her heart.
Margaret’s greatest pride was her family. She adored her children and grandchildren and took immense joy in their accomplishments and milestones. Her unwavering support and boundless love left an indelible mark on those who knew her.
Margaret’s memory will forever live in the hearts of those who loved her. May the warmth of her kindness and the joy she shared continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her children are planning a private Celebration of Life in the spring. In the meantime, let’s honor Margaret’s spirit by reaching out to a loved one for a chat, meeting for lunch, or gathering a group of friends for a round of Euchre—just as she would have done.
