She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Josepha Lynn (JoLynn) Terry, and is survived by her children Lisa (John), Ryan (Julie), and Andrea; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Marcia was known for her quick wit, love of the New York Times crossword puzzle, and lifelong support of the Minnesota Twins. She often professed to hating to cook but loved to eat—especially when enjoying her daughters’ cooking at family gatherings. Her children and grandchildren fondly remember her encouragement of learning, love of going to the movies, ferocious board game play, and sharp sense of humor.
Marcia’s Catholic faith was an important part of her life. As a young girl, she enrolled herself in Catholic school, beginning a lifelong connection to her faith. Though tragedy caused her faith to waver for a time, it was renewed in her later years, and she was grateful for the strength it provided. Her family finds comfort knowing she is now at peace and reunited with loved ones who passed before her. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter and curiosity that lives on in her children and grandchildren.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Minnesota at a later date. Memorials may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the COPD Research Foundation.
