Jimmy Lee Dalrymple, 80, of Viera, Florida (formerly West Milton, Ohio), passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024. He was born on January 30, 1944, in Dayton, Ohio, to Glenn and Jessie (Binkley) Dalrymple and grew up in Brookville, Ohio.
Jimmy graduated from Brookville High School in 1962 and soon after enlisted in the U.S. Army, proudly serving in Germany. After his honorable service, he married Arleen Foltz, his beloved wife of 55 years. Together, they built a loving family. Jimmy earned an Associate's Degree in Electronics and worked as an Electronic Technician for Hobart Brothers in Troy, Ohio, for over 20 years.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Arleen Dalrymple, and their children: John Flint, Theresa Michelson, Becky Booher, and Amy Goff (Jason). He was a proud grandfather to Christopher Young (Carly), Michael Young (Jezzika), Justin Flint (Jenna), Sarah Wade (Drew), Nathan Goff, and Allie Goff, and a loving great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren.
A devout Catholic, Jimmy was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Viera, Florida. A Funeral Mass to celebrate his life will be held on January 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to St. Francis Hospice for their care and compassion during Jimmy’s final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Wounded Warriors Project or St. Francis Hospice of Brevard County.
Jimmy will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
