Evelyn Kay Keigley of Palm Bay, Florida passed away on Monday, October 9th, 2023 at the age of 65. She was born on November 6th, 1957 in Independence, Missouri where she resided until age 14, when her father took the family to Monett, Missouri to take over his parent’s farm.
After moving to Florida, Evelyn worked as a CNC machinist at an armaments company before becoming a valued Merchandise Service Team Leader for Lowe’s in Florida, and later, in Colorado.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl and Darla, plus three grandchildren Damean Murphy-Short, Breanna Murphy-Short, and Travis Moran. Her partner of 23 years, Steve Vander Veer, is also missing her immensely.
Evelyn was a proponent of cremation, but her wishes did not preclude a memorial get-together. The family will be in touch with details.
