Mr. Anthony “Tony” LoCicero passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, in Melbourne, FL at the age of 86. For 40 years, he lived in a home in Lutz he loved and custom-built. Tony was born on February 25, 1937, in Tampa to the late Sam and Mary LoCicero. He was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Jefferson High in 1954. He stayed in touch with high school friends by attending many reunions and regular breakfast gatherings. Tony served his community as a member of the National Guard, Sons of Italy, Egypt Temple Shrine (director’s staff), and A.W. Windhorst Masonic Lodge, where he served as Grand Master. He donated gallons of blood. Tony, an extremely intelligent, talented, and hardworking electrical contractor, spent a majority of his career as Vice President of Tampa’s Electric Machinery Enterprises. He was very proud of the work he accomplished at EME, including major projects throughout Florida, the United States, Central and South America, and the Middle East. He co-founded the Tampa area chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association to create a training program for aspiring electricians.
Tony was preceded in death by his nephew Joey LoCicero and son-in-law Joel Beetham. He is survived by his beautiful wife of thirty-eight years Victoria “Vicki” Giunta LoCicero; his daughter Carol LoCicero Kline, husband Bob, and their children, Mary Virginia and Patrick; son Joe, wife Margaret, and their daughters, Heather (Casey), Catherine (Troy), Cecilia (Connor), and Victoria (Shane); daughter Kim Molinaro, husband Joe, and their children, Dean (Alyssa) and Anna; step-daughter Debbie Goode, husband Ron, and their children, Brandon (Jenna) and Nicole; step-daughter Cheryl Burdin, husband Jim, and their daughters, Ashley and Kyndal (Matt); and step-daughter Lisa Beetham (Joel), and their children, Carrie (Robert), Zack (Kelsey), Ty, and Chance. He also leaves behind six great grandchildren and his brother Joe LoCicero (Gloria) and loved nieces and nephews.
Tony enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, dancing, golfing, competitive shooting, cooking Christmas breakfast, and having breakfast with friends at Ybor City’s Tropicana and Lutz’s Cafe Caribe. He earned a private pilot’s license and often flew to visit their children in college. He was an avid fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Rays. Tony was a loving husband, brother, father, stepfather, and grandfather, who enjoyed sharing life lessons and humor with family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on October 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Palma Ceia Golf & Country Club (MacDill Ave.), Tampa, FL.
