Annette Theresa (St.Cyr) Boulianne of Winter Haven, Florida age 75, passed away on March 27, 2025 peacefully at home surrounded by family. She battled Metastatic Thyroid Cancer for 3 years with bravery and hope.
Annette was born on April 12, 1949 in Willimantic, Connecticut to the late Harold and Theresa St.Cyr. On June 10, 1967 she married the love of her life, Richard Y. Boulianne who survives her. Annette spent many years working as a secretary. She held jobs at American Thread, Jones Apparel and Eastern Connecticut State University, where she retired in 2013 after 24 years of service. She was dedicated to her job at ECSU working in the departments of Student Services and Counseling and Psychological Services.
In 2017, she and her husband moved to Cypress Creek Village in Winter Haven, FL where she met many wonderful friends. It is a tight knit community where everyone looked out for one another. Her family is very thankful to all her friends in the community who helped her and Richard when needed. She enjoyed many events sponsored through the community clubhouse including playing Pokeno and Bunco.
Annette will be remembered for her beautiful smile and infectious laugh that everyone loved. Her loving and caring spirit was felt by all of her family and friends. Her family meant everything to her. She will be missed by many but will live in the hearts of those who have had the pleasure to know her.
Annette was predeceased by her daughter Stacy and her brother Philip. She is survived by her daughter Diane Giannelli and husband Michael of Norwich CT, grandchildren, Matthew and wife Ellie of Franklin, MA, Devon of New Haven, Jake of Mystic, Jenna of Norwich and her 2 precious great-grandchildren, Cameron and Oliva of Franklin, MA. She is also survived by her 2 sisters Denise St. Cyr, and Janine Vickery and husband Gary, one brother Clifford St. Cyr and wife Marie and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the medical staff in the Endocrine Department at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida for their compassion and care. They would also like to thank the staff at Compassionate Care Hospice for their support and care during Annette’s last days on earth.
The family will be planning a private burial and Celebration of Life in Connecticut at a later date.
