Anita Mae Fairley of Bonita Springs, Florida passed away on Thursday 12/5/24 at the age of 86. She was born on 08/01/1938 in Chicago where she grew up with her loving family; parents (deceased) Edith Terry and Theodore Olsen. sister Diane (Ralph)Warman (deceased) and brother Al (Carol) Olsen. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Richard Fairley, until his death in 2017. They enjoyed a very wonderful life filled with family, friends and fun.They had four wonderful children; Susan (Bob) Holbach, Richard (Nancy) Fairley, Sandi (Doug) Beyrer and Dean Fairley (deceased).
Anita enjoyed her ten grandchildren and especially enjoyed their visits, playing cards and other games with everyone. Many laughs during the games brought her joy. She also has three great grandchildren whom she enjoyed meeting and having facetime visits with Mia weekly. She was a great listener with an optimistic and humorous outlook.
She brought laughter to every gathering and was quick to engage everyone in the room.
Her grandchildren have shared many memories over the last few days and each included a story about her love of card games, her quick wit and “one liners”.
Anita enjoyed being part of shell club, crafting, and reading. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends. She was very artistic and had the ability to create beautiful crafts including shell flowers, pine cone wreaths, gourmet candies, cookies, jewelry, and painting,
Anita will be missed by all who knew her. She was a strong woman who emphasized daily that she lived a great life, had no regrets, was thankful for the family that she created and stressed the importance of faith in God.
