Sharon Ann Hawkins was born on April 23rd1949, in Gallup, New Mexico to Margie and Gene Lewis. She was a beloved sister to Peggy and Glen Lewis and was married to the late Richard Hawkins. Sharon had one daughter, Rachel Kelsey and a step son Richie Hawkins. She leaves behind three granddaughters: Ashlee Kelsey, Mariah Madrid, and Mikaela Greer-Nicholson. She had the honor of being a great grandma to Noah Davis (7), Greyson Davis (3), and Morgan Greer (1).
Sharon lived most of her life in Gallup, New Mexico. Where she worked at PNM and lived on the property with her brother, mother, and father. She spent the last 15 years of her life in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her daughter and granddaughters. Sharon loved gardening, she spent endless hours tending to her yard and seeing that things were kept neat and tidy. She loved to read and couldn’t keep her hands off mystery novels; this was her escape and her only exception to taking a moment’s rest. She was always staying busy to avoid “burning daylight” as she used to say. In her younger years, Sharon loved dancing and singing, even starring in a few shows back in Gallup. She spent a lot of time refinishing and repairing furniture over the years. She loved an ice-cold Pepsi and was always ready to have dinner with her family.
She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
