With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald Earle Weese, known lovingly to all as Ronn, on September 4, 2024, at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Surrounded by love, family, and peace, Ronn succumbed to cancer after a courageous battle. He was 71 years old.
Ronn was born on May 2, 1953, in Phillipsburg, Kansas, to Bette Stevens and James Weese, who preceded him in death, along with his beloved grandmother, Ruth Auguyo. Ronn leaves behind a loving family: his devoted husband, Armelino David Salazar; his cherished daughter, Staci Baker; and his precious granddaughter, Emily Ferguson. He is also survived by his brothers, Jerry Perkins and Rick Weese, as well as in-laws Monica Salazar and Veronica Fank, and numerous nieces and nephews: Michael Hinojosa, Stephanie Hinojosa, Pat Salazar, Carl Ellis, Terry Farias, Robbie Farias, Tommy Farias, Brianna Fank, Dayna Fank, Joshua Lucero, and Marian Lucero.
Ronn's professional journey began in the world of radio, where he quickly rose to prominence as one of Albuquerque's top salespeople. His natural talent for sales and marketing was evident early on, and it wasn’t long before he became Director of Sales at Univision Radio. Seamlessly transitioning from radio to broadcast media, Ronn spent the next two decades cultivating meaningful business relationships in the Albuquerque area while working for Comcast and Nexstar. His contributions to advertising and marketing in New Mexico were both profound and influential, encapsulated in his iconic "NM AD MAN" license plate, a proud declaration of his expertise.
Beyond his professional success, Ronn had a deep passion for interior design. His flair for style led him to open Bella Home Interiors, a beloved home furnishings store where he combined his eye for beauty with his entrepreneurial spirit.
Ronn will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and boundless creativity. His legacy lives on not only in the hearts of his family and friends but also in the countless lives he touched through his work. His contributions to New Mexico’s advertising and marketing landscape were indescribable, and his vibrant personality left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Ronn will be dearly missed, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
