Robert Paul Cloutier

Born and raised in New Jersey, at 19 he entered St. Joseph’s Abbey in Worcester, Massachusetts where he became known for his beautiful singing and guitar music. After leaving the monastery, he moved to New York City, where he led the music at church. He married Maria, and had two children. In 1990, Bob and his family followed the Lord’s leading to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he continued to lead worship in song and also had a handyman business.

Bob loved Jesus and eagerly talked about Him whenever he could. That relationship was clear to everyone who knew him. He spent his retirement reading, writing, and sharing about his Lord and Savior.

He is survived by his children, Karen Cloutier Smith and her husband Mark, and John Cloutier and his husband Bruno; his grandchildren Roman Smith and Kaylee Smith; and his brother Charles Cloutier. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hormidas and Catherine Cloutier, and his sister Anne Cloutier.
