Ralph Martinez

A proud retired veteran, who faithfully served his country for 32 years, is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Theresa (Tessie), a treasured son Gilbert (wife Laura), and three cherished granddaughters, Olivia, Emma, and Sofia. He was preceded in death by his parents Adolfo and Amada Martinez, one sister, Mary Lou, and three brothers, Dicky, Andy, and Rudolpho. He is survived by three sisters and four brothers. Dorothy Sanchez (husband Robert), Albert Martinez (wife Lisa), Vince Martinez (wife Joann), Deborah Gonzales (husband Charlie), Steve Martinez (wife Dee), Sarah Bardwell (husband Bard), and Daniel Martinez (wife Pearl) and many nieces, nephews and close friends.

After retiring, Ralph gave back to his Bernalillo community as a volunteer for the Bernalillo Public Schools for 19 years.

Ralph’s “Celebration of Life” will begin with a Rosary/Mass on March 7, 2025 at 10 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 301 Camino Del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM. Following the “Celebration of Life” service, a reception will be held in the Our Lady of Sorrows Social Center. Interment with Military Honor Guard will be performed at 2:30 PM, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501.
