Patricia Marie Whited

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Patricia Marie Whited, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who passed away on September 11, 2026. Patricia built a beautiful life centered around faith, family, friendship, and service. Heaven has received the pearl of all pearls.

Patricia was one of five children. From the very beginning, she loved life and never met a stranger. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and cared for. Patricia truly loved people and gave freely from her heart, always willing to share whatever she had with those around her.

Patricia graduated with honors from Herbert Hoover High School and went on to attend the University of New Mexico. She began her career as a switchboard operator with the telephone company before entering government service at Sandia Base. Through her dedication and hard work, she advanced to a position at Phillips Laboratory, where she met the love of her life, Morris. They shared 50 wonderful years together before his passing.

Throughout her career, Patricia served as secretary to several Majors, who recognized her as an outstanding and valued member of their staff. She also taught protocol to incoming recruits. Patricia took great pride in her work, and her career gave her the opportunity to travel throughout the world.

After 35 years of dedicated government service, Patricia retired, but she wasn't quite ready to stop doing what she loved. She started her own protocol business and continued teaching for another five years. Throughout her career, Patricia was recognized and appreciated for her dedication, professionalism, and service to others.

More than her accomplishments, Patricia will be remembered for the difference she made in the lives of those around her. Family, friends, and colleagues will remember her kindness, generosity, warmth, and the love she so freely gave. Her absence will be deeply felt, but the love she shared and the memories she created will remain with those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and George Whited; her brothers, Donald Theodore Whited and Kenneth Richard Whited; her sister, Alice Louise Whited; and her beloved Morris. She is survived by her sister, Helen Margaret Cardon, as well as her nieces and nephews, Daniel Kent Cardon, Cynthia Marie McWain, Robert Ernest Whited, Heidi Kathleen Firouztash, Allen Wayne Whited, and Christopher Brian Whited.
