
Michael John Cescolini passed away in July 2026 at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the age of 65.
Born in Antonito, Colorado, Michael was the youngest of five children. His family moved to California during his childhood and eventually settled in San Diego, where he attended high school.
He served two years in the United States Army and spent much of his working life in physically demanding trades. Michael worked as a roofer in construction and later as a farrier on a ranch, reflecting his strong work ethic and appreciation for outdoor and rural life. He also lived for many years in Tennessee before settling in New Mexico.
Michael faced many challenges throughout his life, yet he showed a steady ability to endure and carry on despite adversity.
One of the most meaningful chapters of his life was caring for his mother. He served as her devoted companion and caregiver in her later years, offering comfort, support, and companionship until her passing.
Michael is survived by his brother Steve, his sister Kathleen, and his brother Brian. He is also survived by his son and daughter, whose names are withheld to respect their privacy.
His life was marked by perseverance through hardship. His family remembers his kindness, loyalty, hard work, and love, and takes comfort in the hope that he has now found the peace that often eluded him in life.
