Margaret Louise Bird

Margaret Louise Bird, age 87, passed away on February 21, 2026 peacefully at her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Margaret was born on June 21, 1938 in London, England and emigrated to the United States of America in 1980.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband of sixty-one years Peter Bird, son Jim Bird and his wife Lynette Bird, daughter Jane Jernigan and her husband Danny L. Jernigan, sisters Joyce Olsen, and Joan Parrot. Margaret has ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Hilda May Walker, her father, Charles William Jacks, and sisters Hilda, Elsie, Jean, Iris, Violet, Norma, and brother Terry.

Margaret loved knitting, sewing, tennis, and reading, but most of all she cherished traveling and camping adventures with Peter. She enjoyed music, playing cards, and spending time visiting with family and friends. Margaret was a woman of exceptional character, always happy, positive, and full of warmth.

Our hearts are broken as we say goodbye. She will always be remembered and greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
