It is with deep sadness that the Brown and Robinson families announce that Linda Marie Galindo, 68 years old, passed away unexpectedly in the presence of loved ones on July 4, 2023 in Albuquerque, NM where she resided.
Linda was born July 2, 1955 in Muskegon, MI to Donaciano “Tony” Galindo and Shirley (Wright) Galindo, Williams. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel and Lucia (Perez) Galindo and her maternal grandparents were Albert and Marguerite (Hartford) Wright. She was a proud mother to Dawn (Brown) Robinson and Joseph Brown and Christi (Schott) and loving grandmother to Violet and Hudson Brown and Kade Robinson.
Linda was preceded in death by a sister Darlene Galindo, a brother Donald Galindo, both of her parents and grandparents.
She will forever be missed by her siblings Brinda (Galindo) Cobb and Cy, Cinder (Galindo) Huston and Don, Karen (Galindo) Ream and Art, Timo Galindo, Mark Galindo and Theresa (Romero), Jim Galindo and Shelia (Smith), Two maternal uncles Charles Wright and Barbara, and David Wright, and one paternal uncle, Sam Galindo. Linda has many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Linda grew up in Muskegon, MI and was a graduate of Orchard View High School and went on to serve in the United States Air Force as the first woman to be trained as a Flight Crew Chief directing missions all over the world and receiving numerous awards, commendations, and medals.
After thirteen years in the US Air Force, she got out to pursue other careers. She turned out to be quite the business woman as she owned and operated a janitorial service, Asset/Mutual Fund Recovery business, “Migun” hot Jade bed store, and a restaurant even after her eyes had deteriorated.
Most importantly, Linda will be remembered by family and friends for her faithfulness in our Lord Jesus Christ and how she loved her church family.
She had the biggest heart and her kindness and compassion for people was always present. Even with her limited eye sight and poor health she always was doing for others.
A memorial service will be held on: July 15, 2023 at 2:00pm New Heights Baptist Church 5300 Iliff Rd. Albuquerque, NM 87107.
In Linda’s honor the family requests that any donations to her memorial be made to the church that had meant so much to her. Donations can be made below.
