Linda graduated high school in Stanton, Tx and received her Court Reporting Certification shortly thereafter. She moved to Albuquerque in 1970 as a recently divorced mother of her one-year-old Mandy.
Her long and successful career in Court Reporting led to a lifelong friendship with her colleague, Betty Hanes. Betty was the Ethel to Linda's Lucy. The mischief they made together was a constant source of laughter to themselves and those that love them.
We cannot express our gratitude to Betty for all she did for Linda, while raising kids and grandkids. She was the first one Linda and the family called on when she needed help and Betty always came running.
Linda was a very active member of Riverside Church of Christ for over 30 years, and eventually everyone there began to call her "Grandma". Her smiling face and joyous laughter lifted the hearts of all who knew her.
Her generosity, her love of purple, and passion for flowers were unsurpassed, but her greatest sources of joy were her grandkids, Chanda and Schon whom she raised alone. Her joy was multiplied with the arrival of her great grandchildren, Aspasia, Elijah, and Reyellie.
Linda enjoyed making jewelry, and painting, sewing and knitting. Until those grandkids came along, she bought all fabric and yarn in three colors, so she could make one for herself and one for each of her sisters.
She is reunited in heaven with her Daddy, Delton "George" Costlow, her mother, Helen Costlow, her stepmother Bea Costlow and daughter Miranda "Mandy" Malone.
She leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren, her sisters Laura Hall and Judy Harden, stepbrothers Lance and Gary Kitchens, many nieces and nephews, and best friend Betty.
Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. - 1 Peter 3:8-9
