John Arthur Tabaka

John Tabaka loved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on December 20, 2025, at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emma and Leonard Tabaka.

John is survived by his son, the pride of his life, John Alexander Tabaka and his wife, Melissa, and their three children, David Samuel, Jude Gabriel, and Eleanor Grace. He is also survived by his four sisters and one brother and numerous nieces and nephews.

John was born on August 2, 1950, in Toledo, Ohio. He graduated from Highland High School class of 1968. He was a proud Army veteran. He was drafted and gladly served our country with pride! John put his life on hold to care for his parents at home, serving as a pillar of strength to his friends and family.

John was an avid softball player during the 1970’s and 80’s. Always ready to share a story about the Merchants! He turned his sports interests to golf later in life. Throughout his life, John was a passionate Dallas Cowboy and Lobo fan!

John was loved and will be greatly missed.

John will be laid to rest at Santa Fe National Cemetery on April 22 at 10:30AM.
