With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of Glenn Elliott Willets, 63, of Tijeras, New Mexico, who left us on April 6, 2025. He spent his final days surrounded by the love of his family and passed away peacefully.
Glenn was a good man, and will be deeply missed by those who loved him most.
Glenn was born in San Bernardino, California, in 1961, and was a self-proclaimed flower child. He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma, father, Tom, and younger sister, Jennifer, as well as his best pals, his dogs, Shadow, Shelby, and Sasha.
His best friend was his wife of almost 30 years, Holly. After spending many years as just friends, Glenn and Holly fell in love and built a life together, moving from Texas, to Washington, to Colorado, and finally settling in New Mexico, gathering life-long friends along the way. Some of his favorite days included a visit to the botanic gardens with Holly, and most weekends they could be found scouring the kitchen gadgets at Costco or working in their orchard and garden at home.
He will be remembered as the epitome of “Dad-ness” to his children, son Josh and his partner, Lindsay, and daughter, Brittany and her husband, William. His kids often teased him of his classic ‘dad’ hobbies, and knew him as the master of the smoker, as a passionate, if not slightly obsessive gardener, and an avid lover of classic cars. He could often be found rambling over the property on his tractor wearing his big hat, or in the garage, forever tinkering on his beloved Camaro.
Glenn dedicated his career to the ever-evolving world of telecommunications and technology and will always be remembered as the go-to person who could fix anything. For the last 9 years, Glenn worked for Wildflower International, at Sandia National Laboratory.
Per Glenn’s final wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in his honor, to Glenn’s favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
