Donald G. Visser was born in Des Moines, IA on November 25, 1938, and died in Albuquerque, NM, on April 12, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Metta Visser, and his son Craig Visser. Survivors include his wife, Sue, daughter, Kimberly (Don) Weinmann, sister, Carol Sue Gerlach, niece Laura (Mike) Edgar, and nephew, Douglas Lowe. Don had three stepchildren: Jeremy (Geraldine) Calhoun, Dustin Calhoun, and Kasey (Jess) Peter. Four grandchildren: Zoey, Jocelyn, Joel, and Emma. One great-granddaughter, Ivory Sage (known as "baby"), two great nephews: Zach and Dylan Edgar. Two beloved fur babies: TeddyBear and Eleanor Rigby.
Don loved hunting and fishing. He spent many days sitting outdoors in his rocker watching the birds and hot air balloons. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Staff Sergeant and served in the roll of a drill sergeant in the preparation for the Invasion of Bay of Pigs in Cuba. Don was a member of the Friends of Bill W. for 40 years. His generosity was as big as his heart. He loved to sing, dance, and make people laugh. His best friends Bobby Jennings and Rocky LaBonte will never be forgotten.
