Donald ""DJ"" Jones

DJ was born on March 6, 1936, in Evansville, Indiana, to Mr. Willie Jones and Mrs. Dorothy Peach Jones.

He was previously married to Beverly Hugo in Evansville, Indiana. They had a son, Randy Ray, and a daughter, Pamela Kay.

DJ moved to Los Angeles County and worked for Sterling Electric Company for 45 years. His primary job was as a warehouse loader. He was proud of his ability to lift loads of up to 100 pounds!

In 1987, DJ and May met in Orange County. After being partners for 14 years, they married in 2001 in Reno, Nevada. They were together for over 36 years, did everything together, and lovingly took care of each other.

DJ and May enjoyed taking care of their Tustin home. His favorite pastimes were mowing the lawn and doing yard work! They enjoyed traveling and went on several sea cruises including Mexico, Alaska, the Caribbean, and the Panama Canal. They met many new friends on these cruises.

DJ’s interests included attending classes at the Tustin Crunch Fitness Gym where he made so many friends; being a long-standing, avid fan of the L.A. Dodgers; watching baseball, football and basketball games on TV; and working on jigsaw puzzles. He was a good-ol’-boy and loved talking to people!

DJ’s devoted wife and best friend, May, predeceased him by eight days. He leaves behind his loving step-family and the many friends who miss him very much.

There will be no funeral services per DJ’s wishes. A private family memorial will be held in the near future.
