Carroll Augustus Hulla was born in Baltimore, MD on November 24, 1948 to Anne Marie Quandt and Jaroslav Hulla. He completed his public schooling at Baltimore City College HS, then went on to Baltimore University, majoring in sales and marketing. An aptitude test had indicated that he should pursue either sales or entertaining, so he did both, making his living in sales and filling his evenings and weekends with Community Theater, Barbershop Chorus and church choir rehearsals and performances. He directed theater and barbershop as well, taking one chorus to 2nd place in a district BBS contest.
His career and hobbies took him to Central Coastal CA, Arizona and Texas, where he finally retired from Applied Industrial Products in June of 2023. Two years later, wife Dolly retired and they set up their forever home in Las vegas, NM.
Carroll leaves behind his wife, and her family, as well as a sister in law, Jackie and niece Michelle in Westminster MD and nephew Jerry in Silver city, NM. He will be missed by all those he worked for in sales, those he performed with on stage, and his brothers and sisters at First Presbyterian Churches, all over the southwest, and of course, Dolly.
