Born August 14, 1936, in Tucson, AZ, Alan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, known for his kindness, wisdom, and generous spirit. He was passionate about snow skiing, all things BMW, and teaching his Sunday School class at Coker United Methodist Church in San Antonio, TX.
He attended Highland High School and the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. His children, Mark and Melanie, fondly remember his favorite saying: “Why is there always time to do something over, but never enough to do it right the first time?”
Alan is survived by his son Mark Campbell (Sandy) of Roswell, GA; daughter Melanie Feger (Gary) of Rio Rancho, NM; grandsons Graydon Campbell (Morgan), Harrison Campbell (Mary), and Zane Feger; and his brother Fred Campbell of Corrales, NM.
Alan was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 48 years, Carol Ann Taylor Campbell (1937-2004), and brothers Donald, Walter, and William Campbell.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Alan’s legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
