born in Phila. Pa. on 1/20/1931 to Adelina Lapetina Lovegrove and Stanley Lovegrove. She
was preceded in death by her husband Roy H. Graef, brother Ivan Lovegrove and son
Oliver Hilldale. She leaves behind her niece Daphne, who lives in Greece with her husband,
who Adelina visited last year, her stepdaughters, Linda Harris of Philadelphia and Debbi
Saffos of New York, two grandchildren, Kyle and Amanda, and one great grandson, Liam,
and Debbie Allen, a cousin who lives in Virginia.
Adelina was involved in theater and some T.V. acting throughout her life as well as some
modeling. She worked for TWA for many years and she and her husband ran a travel
agency in Albuquerque for several years. Although Adelina worked in the travel industry
namely TWA, she had an intense fear of flying and never flew anywhere. She often traveled
by train or ship. One European vacation she took with her husband, who incidentally
worked for Eastern Airlines, Japan Airlines and Trans Texas Airlines, that required him to fly
to Europe (basically for free), but Adee traveled by ship across the Atlantic, reuniting in
London. Adelina spent most of her life in Albuquerque after her husband was advised to
move to a drier climate due to health conditions related to Asthma. While they remained in
the same home for many years, they also owned other investment properties. Years after
her husband died, she bought some property in Florida, as the Albuquerque winters were
getting cooler. Adelina hated being cold and could often be found wearing a winter jacket
when temperatures dipped below 60 degrees. In about 2002 Adelina took a job in the
Jewelry Department at Foley's Department Store in Albuquerque where she met Doug
Williams who was her boss there. They developed a lifetime friendship and shared a
mutual love of travel, mainly cruising, although they made many road trips together. Doug
has remained a loyal friend to Adelina all these years, and was fortunate enough to be with
her until the very end, along with her friend Judy Kristl. Adelina treasured her close friends
in Albuquerque, Rita, Diana and Angelo, Judy, Maureen, Steve and his mother Sherry, her
co-workers at Foley's, the TWA retiree group, and her friends from Bear Canyon. Also, her
friends from Florida, Anna, Alan, whom she affectionately referred to as "The Catman,"
Dottie, Bob, Sheena and her neighbors Pete and Shirley. Adelina loved all animals and had
several dogs throughout her life.
