Jerome A. Kovach

Jerry was born in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from St. John Cantius High School in 1959. He worked nights at Ford Motor Company and ran his own business, Temp Check, until he retired in 2001. The 22 years in Florida were spent playing softball, bowling, fishing, cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes, and of course golfing at least twice a week. Jerry was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church. More than anything though, Jerry cherished the time spent and memories made with family and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Regina (Glowacki).

Jerry is survived by his wife of 60 years Emily (Mihalko), his children Denise (Brad) Abend, Chris (Beth) Kovach, Karen (Steve) Hickey, & Linda Kovach, his grandchildren Josh (Liz). Trevor, & Shaina Abend, Tyler & Emma Kovach, Alyssa, Victoria, Aaron, & Ryan Wiecek, his great granddaughter Cecilia Abend, and his siblings Richard Kovach & Elaine (John) Batsky.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park at 11:00am on Friday, September 29, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave. Cleveland, OH 44110, as they provided a great deal of comfort and compassion to Jerry and the family for which we will be forever grateful.
