Born in Fairmont, WV to Arden J. Shock and Mary Jo Christner Shock, of Mannington, WV and Pricetown, WV preceded in death by his parents and a younger brother, Richard L. Shock of Gulf Breeze, FL.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife of almost 50 years, married July 19th, 1973, Judy (Ring) Shock, of Freeport, FL and his son Brian M. Shock, daughter-in-law Catherine (Mueller) Shock and the twinkle of his eye, granddaughter, Ella Shock, all of Tallahassee, FL.
Mark also dearly loved his in-laws Herman and Virginia Ring (deceased) of Pine Grove, WV.
He has a special relationship with his brother-in-law, Phil Ring (April) and his nephews, Hunter (Sarah) and Colton. Also his nephew, Matt Shock (Malena) of Barnett, TX. He has many many nieces and nephews and loved them all.
Mark graduated from Valley High School in Pine Grove, WV class of 1970.
He attended Fairmont State before joining the US NAVY in 1971.
His Navy career over the span of almost 23 years carried him around the world many times.

After his Navy Career Mark was employed by Booz-Allen and Hamilton in Lexington Park, MD
Then as a Civil Servant, (Federal) with The Joint Chiefs in Dalgren, VA and as a Judicator at the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C.
He joined the F-35 Program (Joint Strike Fighter) at Pax River, MD as the Security Director, and continued as the Director of Security at the 33rd Fighter Wing on Eglin Air Force Base until his 2nd retirement of 20 plus years in 2018.
Mark enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Screaming Eagle, golfing and hunting with family and friends in WV. Mark was of the Protestant faith, and a lifetime member of the DAV (Disabled American Vets) Chapter #57 Crestview, FL.
Mark has friends far and wide, as a testimony to his wife and family in the wonderful support they have received throughout his battle with cancer.

Full military honors and inurnment will be June 9th at 2pm, EST, in Tallahassee, FL at the Tallahassee National Cemetery, with a Celebration of Life to follow at Proof Brewing Co., in Tallahassee, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to the American Heart Association or the DAV#57 in Crestview, FL in his honor.
